I practiced pilates throughout my pregnancy.  It helped my pain level, strength, mood and flexibility.  Once I had my son, I became aware that I had diastasis recti and it was effecting my ability to climb stairs and carry our son around.  Through that, I found my way to Amanda.  

Amanda is a gifted teacher.  She is kind and peaceful.  She is wise and knowledgable.  She creates an environment in which I feel at ease, challenged and soul filled once I leave.  I am a bit sore after each session, but not so sore that I feel like I don't want to return.  

For all you Mamas out there...I really do know how difficult it can be to add physical movement back into life.  If you have any space, however, I so encourage you to come and join Amanda's class. For me, my body and soul need it.

Amanda is excellent!!  She helped me stay fit pre baby - keeping my pelvic floor strong and stable and also worked my ab, leg and arm muscles.  And now, post baby she's helping me get my body back.  I don't know what i'd do without her.  She's the complete package - she promotes positivity, she's an excellent teacher and motivator plus she's an awesome resource for all things mother and baby!

Amanda has a gift — she is truly a top-notch instructor. I have done pilates for several years, but found Amanda in Chicago just two years ago. I saw her weekly for private lessons and she really elevated my pilates experience. Her background as a dancer gives her a unique understanding of body mechanics, anatomy and movement coupled with her advanced pilates knowledge and experience. In addition, Amanda is just lovely to be around — her personality, warmth and sense of humor put you at ease the moment you meet her. I am in my 40's and ride horse competitively, and Amanda's has helped transform any effectiveness in the saddle and in the hunter/jumper competition. Her patience, thinking and ability to modify or tailor pilates exercises and stretching to meet my specific needs each week have really made a difference... if I come in with body tightness or soreness from a weekend at a horseshow or if I am ready to challenge myself that day, Amanda is flexible enough to tailor our lesson to what is needed for that day with our overall goals still in mind. I highly recommend Amanda to pilates students of all ages and levels.
