Client Spotlight: Kacky Fell and Phil Hatcher
I thought it would be fun to highlight a client each month who has really made big strides in their Pilates workout! Every one of my clients work hard each week and it has been exciting to see the changes that Pilates has had on their bodies and in their lives. A lot of them are coming to Pilates twice a week and this really makes a difference on their overall goals!
Today we highlight Kacky Fell and Phil Hatcher of Hatcher and Fell Photography.
Kacky and Phil have both been doing Pilates for close to 7 years. Both of them came to Pilates to feel better in their bodies and to learn how to move better. I asked them a few questions so they could tell us more about their journey and how Pilates has helped them.
What brought you to Pilates?
Kacky: Right before I turned 60, I started looking for a new exercise activity that would help me with both strength and flexibility, one that wouldn't be damaging to my joints, and one that I could do year-round. Amy Butler, one of the owners of Nashville Pilates Company, had just gotten her Pilates certification, and she told me about what great exercise Pilates is. It didn't take long for me to get hooked, and I've been taking classes ever since!
Phil: Kacky Fell
What is your favorite Pilates exercise?
Kacky: My favorites are the stretches and twists, and I also like rollups and rolldowns!
Phil: C Curl with 100's
How has Pilates helped you in your life?
Kacky:A big plus is that I always feel better and more energized after a Pilates class than I did before. I am so much stronger than I was when I first started Pilates and that makes me feel more confident as I move through my day. I've also learned how to assess muscular 'aches and pains' and what to do to alleviate them.
Phil: I'm not in the nursing home yet!
