ABOUT

A modern wellness studio

Native Pilates is a modern wellness studio offering instruction in Pilates and other holistic systems of movement. Founded in 2019 with two locations in the Nashville area, our original studio in Donelson and our second location in Mount Juliet.

Our classes and private lessons are intimately designed so personal instruction can be given to every student, delivering holistic mind-body exercise in a friendly and welcoming space. Focusing on group movement and specialized therapies like massage therapy, pelvic floor therapy, and physical therapy, we deliver intelligent and thoughtful systems of movement that help people feel confident using their body to its fullest potential.

Meet the Teachers

Amanda Howard

Owner of Native Pilates and a Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher and Pre/Postnatal Specialist with 18+ years of experience serving the Nashville community. She's completed extensive training, including a 750-hour certification through Frog Temple Pilates, along with specialized study in pre/postnatal, menopause, and therapeutic movement. As founder, she also leads the Native Pilates Teacher Training Program, mentoring the next generation of instructors.

Natalie Banas

Natalie graduated from the Native Pilates teacher training program in March 2023 and holds a pre/postnatal certification through The Center for Women's Fitness. She loves working with expectant moms and seniors, helping clients build strength and confidence through movement. Outside the studio, she enjoys time with her husband, 5 kids, and 2 yorkie puppies.

Belle Barreiro Seiden

Belle moved to Nashville from San Diego in 2021 and completed her 450-hour mat and reformer certification at Forme in Brentwood, TN in 2024. She teaches a blend of classical and contemporary Pilates to build strength, balance, and mind-body connection, often incorporating fun props. Outside the studio, she enjoys cooking and spending time with her Beagle mix, Maggie.

Yui Breedlove

Yui completed her Polestar Pilates Comprehensive Teacher Training at Marathon Pilates (Nashville) in 2018, and has worked closely with pre/postnatal clients and those recovering from injury. Her teaching centers on the mind-body connection, with an inclusive, empathetic approach that fosters growth and community. Outside the studio, she's a visual artist, vintage treasure hunter, and mom.

Sarah Case

Sarah is a Balanced Body-certified Pilates instructor and Integrated Movement Specialist. She came to Pilates to address back pain, and later relied on it to recover from abdominal surgery for endometriosis—an experience that deepened her passion for the method's healing power for every body. She focuses on making sessions empowering, safe, and fun. Outside the studio, she loves reading, her cats, and walks with her husband.

Carli Cole

Carli discovered Pilates at Native Pilates as a way to de-stress and instantly connected with its warm, authentic community. She became a certified instructor through the Native Pilates teacher training program in fall 2024, and loves working with beginners, helping clients feel safe, supported, and empowered. Outside the studio, she's a professional home organizer with The Tidy Home Nashville and enjoys homebody time with her husband and dogs, Honey and Raisin.

Adrienne Felder

Adrienne discovered Pilates at 12 through ballet training and became certified after college, going on to teach full-time and later run a seafood restaurant with her husband in Whitefish, Montana—all while raising four kids. With two decades of experience in functional fitness and therapeutic training, she's passionate about helping every body move with ease, strength, and balance. She moved to Mount Juliet in 2021 and loves spending time outdoors with her family.

Heather McAlister

Heather is a health coach, aerialist, and Studio Manager at Native Pilates, certified through the Native Pilates Teacher Training Program. With a dance background and experience navigating a hypermobile body, she approaches Pilates through a holistic mind-body lens, focusing on strength, alignment, and injury prevention. She especially enjoys working with athletes and pre/postnatal clients, empowering them to build strength, confidence, and body awareness.

Lindsay Stryffeler-Rivera

Lindsay is a certified Pilates instructor through The Pilates Center in Boulder, CO, where she completed their Master's Program, bringing 20+ years of experience integrating movement, mindfulness, and breathwork. She's also helped develop and lead teacher certification programs. Having lived in Ohio, Chicago, LA, and now Nashville, Lindsay customizes each workout as an intentional exploration of body, breath, and movement—helping clients build strength, balance, and joy.

Margaret Weiss

Margaret believes Pilates is the key to aging with strength, grace, and confidence, and she's passionate about making it accessible for all bodies. She began practicing in the late '90s in Southern California and completed the 750+ hour comprehensive, classical Pilates training program at Native Pilates. Outside the studio, she enjoys cooking, walking her neighborhood, and spending time with her husband of 35 years.

Natalia Ramos

Natalia began her Pilates practice at Native in early 2023, and what started as a search for strength grew into a passion for the method, leading her to complete the Native Pilates teacher training program. She loves helping others feel connected to their bodies and move with control and confidence. Natalia holds a degree in International Business and Spanish from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, long walks, and family time.

Lauren Ashley

Lauren is a Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher, classically trained through Native Pilates with a second comprehensive certification through Balanced Body. Introduced to Pilates as a competitive gymnast and diver, she later rediscovered it through physical therapy while navigating her own health challenges, giving her a deep appreciation for its power in injury rehab and chronic pain recovery. Lauren specializes in helping clients rebuild strength, mobility, and confidence through precise, intentional movement.

Rachel Miller

Rachel, a Nashville native, discovered Pilates during her dance studies at MTSU and later incorporated it into her ballroom dance teaching to help students build strength and flexibility. She's a comprehensively certified classical Pilates instructor through Native Pilates in Donelson, trained under Amanda Howard. Rachel brings creativity and precision to every session, helping clients of all levels move with ease and confidence.

Aimee Bailey

PT, DPT, 200-hr CYT, PCES, Pelvic Health Specialist. Aimee is our in-house Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist with a passion for helping women live their fullest life. She has been a licensed Physical Therapist for 17 years, specializing in pelvic floor health for the past 14 years. Aimee combines her clinical expertise with a holistic, whole-body approach to help women navigate pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and beyond with strength and confidence.

Emmalee Manes

Emmalee discovered Pilates in 2021 while recovering from a serious back injury, and it became the practice that helped them rebuild strength and reconnect with their body. They completed their 500-hour certification through The Lab program at Somos and love working with clients who feel intimidated by movement or are recovering from injury, helping them move with confidence and care. Emmalee is also a Nashville-based playwright and performer.
